Why does it feel like no one wants open relationships despite the supposed millennial cultural consensus that "too many people" want open relationships?
Post Body

I have no interest in monogamy. I haven't been in a monogamous relationship since I was a teenager and it's integral to my personality. I never plan on being monogamous, and that severely constricts my dating pool. However, every time I lament about it a bit I always hear that "so many people are looking for open relationships nowadays". It seems like the idea that the masses seem to be undoing traditional dating is mostly a phantom though cause even in the big liberal areas I live in I rarely come across people into it.

I only ever see the same handful of people from online dating apps who say they're interested. I never find people IRL interested despite the claim that people into alt lifestyles are everywhere nowadays. Does anyone else similarly that the idea that non-mon is seemingly everywhere now a little overblown?
