So I recently got back together with an ex, and we are doing pretty well. We’re texting often, having great dates, amazing sex, and generally getting along better than before the break up. It really seems like he’s trying to put effort into this, and I’m also trying to go with the flow and enjoy his company without asking too much of him too soon. After all, I do come with a whole husband and kid, and he’s a single man who does NOT identify as poly. We’re slowly feeling things out, and so far the feeling is good. I’m being cautious on my end though because I really like him, and we’re just getting reacquainted after a rocky start.
Well, I just got a facebook friend request from him. 😲😆 I use facebook a LOT and constantly post pictures of hubby, kiddo, the whole nine yards. I am linked with many family members, old and new friends, colleagues, etc on facebook. Some of these friends know we’re poly, some of them don’t. My husband and I are approaching our official 1 year poly-versary. We are unashamed of our poly-ness, but still in the closet with most people until we feel comfortable coming out and answering the many questions we know we’ll get.
Anyway, I’m nervous about adding the current beau as a “friend”. How will he feel about seeing the images of my family all the time? He recently spent the night at my place. It was amazing, but I found myself depersonalizing the space so he wouldn’t feel weird. Asking him to fuck me harder while also staring at family pictures might be a bit much. 🤣 How do you handle the social apps with potential partners? I have to mention that I’d like things to get serious with this guy, if at all possible.
