I've been two events lately that were intended as orgies. At least they were called orgies. And at both events we had a feedback round and at least one person said it wasn't an orgy at all, it was something else, a play party, a swinger club, etc..
So in my mind I have this idea that an orgy is somehow a human activity in which a group of people engage in sexual activity together and the whole group is somehow connected. That's opposed to a swinger club, which would be primarily based on couples swapping partners, or a play party, in which there would be some smaller groups doing different activities independently.
However such a definition isn't to be found in any dictionary.
So I want to ask the sub, what do you guys think an orgy is, specifically, and how can it be distinguished from other types of group sexual activities? Can we actually agree on any distinguishing characteristics?
