Background: My wife initiated to open our marriage, she wants to see her ex on the side with my approval. In exchange my wife and I setup a bunch of rules in order to enable the first meetup.
Here are some of the rules: 1. Always use protection, and no oral (I asked her this initially) 2. Only meet in certain area to avoid running into family/friends 3. No sleep over 4. No sex on first dates
For example, she shared these rules with her ex, and he’s in full agreement initially. Eventually all rules are broken, and this usually happen with the other partners. This is why eventually we just throw these rules out in order to keep going.
Right now, we only have 1 rule: “Act in our family’s’ best interest”.
Do you guys find rules help or counterproductive.
