Do monogamous people really just stop finding others attractive once they enter a relationship?

Came across this thread in the dating sub and was very confused. I understand monogamous people do not have sex with others outside their relationship but not wanting to?? Maybe I've just been in the nonmonogamous world for too long but all the hate piling in this thread because this guy simply said he still wanted to have sex with other women while he was with his ex is extremely off putting to me

Like we're still human and experience attraction, right? Whether we act on it is a different thing. Part of the reason I think nonmonogamy is so great is it allows you the freedom to do so.

All the responses that are like "this is disgusting", " I would never", etc...idk, I kinda feel bad for these people. Just seems like such an extremely harsh take.
