I (25m) have been wanting nonmonogamy for a while and my bf (25m) has been really unsure. However, he expressed recently that a lot of his reservations come from “feeling left out”- he likes the idea of me having sex with other guys if he could watch, for example. He wouldn’t mind a throuple (yes we both know that’s very rare irl) or me having relationships w someone else as long as he could also have some sort of relationship with them- even just friendship. I honestly kind of like this as I personally love the idea of being “shared” or having two partners who care abt each other somehow too. However, I guess I just wanted to ask how realistic this is, if anyone has tried this, if it works out, if it can be healthy, if other people would even be interested in that, etc.
