Ultimatum for Colorism

Over the past few months I have met and gotten into a casual dating /fwb relationship with a new partner. My current nesting partner was excited to possibly be friends with them at first, since where we live there are not many POC, and both of them are feminine POC.

However, my new partner mentioned a soft rule near us that has really caused issues. She does not date POC men because of past issues with them being Colorist, and she doesn't find women POC sexually attractive because "they all remind her of her family".

My nesting partner called this completely abhorrent, and gave me an ultimatum to choose one of them to break it off with. My nesting partner explained that the colorist beliefs make them feel lesser than, and that coupled with my new partner not showing clear efforts to build a friendship has created a very strong dislike for my new partner.

My nesting parter is not willing to have a meta that makes them feel so uncomfortable, and thus gave me the ultimatum.

I am going to end things with the FWB.

Their beliefs do bother me as well, albeit not to the same level as my nesting partner. I made this post to ask if this seems like a toxic/unfair behavior from my nesting partner at all? I am wrapped in emotions still and know it's clouding my thinking a bit, but I am hurt by how quickly they were able to give a relationship ending ultimatum. My nesting partner is also not willing to give my FWB a chance to explain, since their beliefs bother them so much.

When I write out that "my nesting partner gave me an ultimatum to end things with a FWB because the FWB is racist" it does seem incredibly reasonable. It just hurts because up until now I have been feeling like this new partner could have become a really good friend with how much we get along.

Writing this post was very clarifying honestly, and I am secure in my choice to end things with the new partner. I hate that this is seemingly going to come out of nowhere.
