Is it bad if me and my boyfriend had our unicorn as our friend rather than our lover?

Me and my boyfriend are new to this realm and we’re looking to have a threesome with a unicorn. We don’t necessarily want to open our relationship romantically to another person, only sexually. But we also don’t want to use this person as a sex object. We both agreed we’d like this person to also be our friend where we can go out for food, arcades, movies and etc. Is this bad or disrespectful at all? I have read a lot of horror stories of unicorn hunters treating unicorns as sex objects and we would hate for anyone to feel that way with us. Any advice?
