32-year-old bi guy from India. I enjoyed a wonderful, steady ENM relationship for 8 years, which ended amicably. Since then, I've been dating for over 18 months. While I’ve found it relatively easy to meet appealing single mono women, finding non-mono women has been quite challenging. Most of the non-monogamous individuals I've encountered whether through apps or others have either usually looking for something casual that felt more like cheating than genuine non monogany.
I plan to move to Europe or the US for work in the future, but I can't help but wonder if finding a non-monogamous partner becomes more difficult as we age. I'm particularly interested in women who are at least 28 , but it seems like either geography or cultural values in India might be influencing my experiences. Or maybe the experience is same for everyone else?
Reflecting on my past relationship, it really special, and an effortless connection where we were completely in sync. Now, it feels like I'm in a waiting game until I find someone who resonates with me again. I often question whether that kind of connection is rare or if I should hold out hope. Or perhaps I should just give up.
Have you found it difficult to connect with like minded partners a second time around? Would love to hear out!
