So, I took your advice to be more straight-forward with "Vincent". The problem was that I never really spent time with him one-on-one, and and I didn't want to dump everything on him through online messaging. I wanted to tell him to his face that I find him attractive.

My first thought was to hope to run into him at the local lgbtq pride event.

But before that happened, he expressed interest in the pagan group that I'm active in and wanted to join on a blót (heathen celebration). I gave him the information on the next one, which I too would attend. He didn't explicitly say whether he would come or not, so I assumed he wouldn't. A lot of people ask me about heathenry but most find the step to join an event a bit too much.

But he did get there! I heard him mentioning that he was single. I actually felt a bit bad, since he mentioned he was hoping the gods would give him a romantic relationship... and I'm only after a fwb-type deal. After the blót, he offered to drive me home, since we were going to the same direction and I don't have a car. A bit before he dropped me off, I told him that I heard he was single, and I explained how I'm in an open relationship and found him attractive. That I couldn't offer him a serious romantic relationship, but something more casual. He was very surprised, but told me that he found me attractive too! I asked him to think about it, and got out of the car.

We messaged some, talking more, and decided to give it a go.

Yesterday we had dinner out. I had been nervous the entire day, because all my hookups the last 10 years or something have been either from apps, picked up at clubs or been introduced to me by other ENM partners. Not people I've gotten to know platonically first through hobbies. Long time since I've done something like that.

But dinner went well, and then we had sex at his place. And it was hot. Getting all excited again, thinking about it. Even though it had the usual "first time with new person" awkwardness. Hoping to make this somewhat regular.
