Opened up about ENM and now I feel guilty
Post Body

First I want to say I have lurked in this community for a while and found it super helpful in discovering & learning about ENM & the poly community.I (26F) have been with my partner (25F) for 4 years and love her very much. She is my best friend and favorite person. While we are both bisexual, I seem to miss the opposite gender more than her and it's been weighing on me. She is also my first wlw relationship and hers too (really her first serious relationship too). When I was with guys, I yearned for women. I thought I was just bisexual and craving the unknown. Then, 3.5 years into my current relationship, I find myself missing being with a man. Really just sexually is what I miss. My partner is also a lot more vanilla than I am and knows she is unable to meet certain needs. After bringing this all up to her, she agrees we really have two choices here; 1. She tries to wrap her head around ENM and work through it together 2. Break up. Neither of us want to break up, so she says she is willing to digest this information, come up with possible boundaries that would make her feel comfortable with ENM, and I asked her to think about what she may want out of this because it really can't be one sided. She is willing to work though this and at least think about if this could world for us. This is something I have been struggling with for a few months so she knows how heavy it's weighing on me. The thing is, I just feel so guilty for asking her to think about this. Can anyone relate to feeling guilty about asking your partner for this? I'm just feeling very guilty and shameful. I don’t know where else to turn for guidance.
