So for months I've been having this rule to where I'm only with people who are not monogamous. I'm in an open relationship. But everytime I've been with someone or fucked around with them for awhile they tell me their partners are jealous or that they're going to do the whole monogamous thing. It's really hard because I like making connections with people and don't want to be monogamous, and being with monogamous people I find that they want to try and change me and be like "why can't we just be monogamous? If you really liked me so much you'd break up with your partner and be with me" type shit.
I'm venting because it's been hard because essentially I'm only having one night stands which I hate.
95% of people out there want monogamy. There's no changing those minds. And frankly, why would you want to try? Mono-poly pairings are almost always miserable for at least one person involved.
You can't really avoid this any way besides swearing off people who want monogamy. That, of course, makes your dating pool much smaller.

Its becoming way more common. So way more people are trying it. However, a % of those who try it return to monogamy.
