Polygyny Story- looking for experienced advice
Post Body

Howdy Iā€™m 26 years old and wondering about how I can find another partner to join the family Iā€™m building. I have a partner as is and Iā€™ve struggled with the idea of instinct it feels like of if non-monogamy is right for me (with family members practicing non-monogamy) or having a healthy relationship and household.

We have tried dating apps but I donā€™t think thatā€™s the way to meet someone properly. Any ideas or thoughts? Any success stories?

My partner and I have been together since literally middle school and this is a topic weā€™ve discussed for at least 8 years now and sheā€™s grow more comfortable within herself around the subject and topic. Sheā€™s even encouraged exploring as of late, mentioning her own desire to have experiences with a woman as well.

However, I donā€™t want to be in a rush out of excitement to find someone. I believe that in my past experiences that has caused more problems. Iā€™m actively and consciously looking for a second wife thatā€™ll fit into what we have and want to build.

She herself is bi-curious but has had suppressed feelings and weā€™ve tried dating with someone else in the past but we had complications occur. But we are both feeling open to it again and taking it much slower than before.

Iā€™m just not sure how to open up myself to explain the situation and beliefs that comes with it. Being that itā€™s not a common thing to out right practice where I am. Itā€™s something not something thatā€™s common where I am. ā€œHow do you as a couple get out there to find what works for you both?ā€ Might be the real question.

Just to reiterate weā€™re not out looking for things like flings and intimate experiences. Weā€™re looking to expand our family and build something healthy, good, and spiritually oriented working towards marriage (even though itā€™s not legal in my state) or a cohesive and harmonious relationship and lifestyle in non-monogamy.

I hope this makes sense to someone and Iā€™d love some advice from the experienced folks if possible or anyone that could relate. Thank you!
