I'm bisexual & in an open relationship. To me an open relationship is the only way to explore my sexuality because being monogamous would mean restricting myself and living a lie. However I realized all the subreddits about bisexuality are full of monogamous people that fight very hard to convince society that being bisexual and monogamous makes perfect sense. Is there any subreddit about bisexuality that is not moralistic about nonmonogamy?. I guess the monogamous bisexuals are like that also to fight the idea that there are many bisexual cheaters. They would say they are not against honest not monogamous, just against the dishonest ones. But the reality is that they never suggest to open a relationship,they just suggest to repress the urges to have sex with the other gender, or to ask the wife to peg the men. Nonmonogamy is so clearly the way to go for busexuals! It is so logical. Why then it seems to be so minoritarian?

Being mono doesn't make someone not bi nor is it a lie. It's just one life option.

It makes sense for them. And they probably resent the stereotype that bi people can't be mono. Which is wrong and gross. Straight, gay, and bi people can prefer monogamy or non-monogamy. All relationship structures are valid and a matter of preference regardless of sexual orientation.

Why not explore some non-mono subs.....like this one. You'll find straight, gay and bi people here pursuing all forms of non-monogamy.

I'd say opinions on the morality and pragmatisim of open relationships is varied among bisexual, straight and gay people.
