still missing the mark

i feel like every time i try to get my sexual needs met i fuck it up and upset my partner.
how do you deal with having a higher sex drive than your partner and wanting to satisfy that with other people? we have been some form of non monogamous for our entire 4 year relationship and have both had hookups both in and out of relationships. i know ultimately the answer is communication and learning from mistakes but lately it just feels like every move i make is upsetting.
more of a vent post than anything im just really frustrated today.
