Just trying to gauge how normal this is. I have a regular play partner but it’s only been a few months. We see each other typically once a month or so. Everything is great when we see each other and I’m happy with our level of communication outside of those times. However, the last couple of times I found myself feeling pretty low 24-48 hours after and kind of emotionally needy, but not reaching out or acting on those needs (I’ve had enough experience to know that while uncomfortable, these feelings pass). It seems to be getting progressively worse each time though. Is it the hormone dump after feeling all of that dopamine and oxytocin? To be clear, there are no feelings of shame or regret. I really enjoy and cherish what we have. I currently don’t have any other partners so I’m sure that contributes. After 48 hours or so I start to feel better. Is this just me or can others relate?
