How to get started with bondage?

I can’t imagine a sub getting turned on by a dom who is fumbling around with his ropes because doesn’t know what he’s doing. I was a Boy Scout and a climber. I’m not new to ropes and knots. I could figure it out, but I don’t want to cause any unintended pain or injury. I want to do it the “right” way.

I looked for some guides and videos and didn’t find much. Does anyone have any resources?
