I'm a guy and I've gotten some responses to my posts. Yay. All but one have been spammers, sellers, or suspicious in one way or another. Boo.
For the less inspired frauds all you have to do is look at their post history. I put up some screenshots of the low hanging fruit. Both blocked me when I asked about their post history which contradicted the first thing they told me about themselves. But they weren't the only ones.
Reddit has no barriers of entry so quality responses were always going to be the exception. I'm also a guy so I worry less about physical harm - and I always meet first in public anyway and I take time to get to know someone.
But the question is, is reddit worth it for you? I don't do the dating apps because they've just been awful experiences generally. Reddit is mostly just annoying, but if it's just another waste of time then I'll probably move on.
