Wife and I are starting to explore the potential for adding a girlfriend into our relationship for her so I'm just trying to make sure I understand and use proper terms as we venture into this together.
We both understand they a clear line of open and honest communication is, above all else, a must.
I've gotten a good bit of information from the Poly group but was brought to my attention that Poly might not be what we are trying to achieve since it will not be me dating but just her.
Thanks in advance for any advice and help!
ENM - ethical non-monogamy - is the big umbrella under which you find all types of consensual non-monogamy.
Polyamory is one of them, where the agreement is you can have several romantic (more or less) committed partners. Open relationship where you agree to have sexual relationships with others is another type. And so is swinging, hotwifing, threesome and so on.
Wanting to invite a third person into your bed for some mutual fun now and again is fine.
Wanting to let your wife have a girlfriend is fine.
Wanting to add a person to your relationship to date you both is … troublesome.
