So essentially I had sex with someone who had a confirmed HSV-2 outbreak a few weeks after we had sex. We used condoms when we had sex and the person told me that had been with other people around the time we had the one night stand. It’s been about two months since then and I have no symptoms. I went to get tested and my doctor told that it is possible to transfer with condoms but getting testing done is unreliable unless I’m having an outbreak so don’t worry about it and just use condoms. But like…should I tell this to future partners or am I overreacting? Other people I’ve been with have no symptoms either. Doctor just seemed so non-chalant which left me confused…
