Our shared platonic friend is very much monogamous and is in a committed relationship. He flirts with my partner when I'm not around (I know because my partner tells me), then acts like a platonic friend when I'm there. He is unaware that we are nonmonogamous, but I don't think that would've mattered to him. My partner doesn't care if he wants to cheat. But we see that platonic friend too frequently because we live really close and go to the same public spaces.
How can this be messy? How can it be good? What do you think?
