Aftercare
Post Body

So I guess I'm a bit confused as I thought aftercare is something done by/with your own partner when all is said and done. However I'm coming across aftercare being done by play partners rather than ones own partner. Thus leaving me extremely confused clarification would be immensely appreciated as well as examples or opinions of what's considered aftercare that's not cuddling.

In this sub it does seem to be used for a couple coming back together after a sexual encounter with someone else. Again - sort of a return to the status quo idea.

I've always heard this called "reclaiming". Frankly, I find that term kind of odd, but I stay out of it because neither I nor my partner feel the need for it.

I don't think co-opting the term "aftercare" is appropriate though, it's a term with a pre-defined meaning for bdsm folks that doesn't relate to the 'coming back together' that ENM couples sometimes do.
