This is not the update I had in mind. Mine involved Pizza, and shenanigans with my daughter while my husband went off on a fantastic first overnight.

His FWB had some major life shit come up and had to cancel last minute. (Like four hours from date night last minute)

To say I am bummed is an understatement, to say he is bummed is an egregious overstatement. Poor guy, he just can't catch a break.

We had planned to have the weekend before and after Valentines day for us. I couldn't let it be another month before he had his chance, and I don't want to give up my overnight next weekend just so he can have his (That's huge for me to say that and feel zero guilt...win) so, I told him that the weekend before he could do an overnight with her instead of taking that weekend for me.

Waiting a month is ridiculous when it's already been three months since his last date. I feel like it would be borderline an 8th amendment violation (it's a joke 🤣 look it up and you'll find the pun)

I needed to vent. I hate this for them both, they were so excited! Could you send some positive vibes their way in the comments? I'm sure they could use it.

Context: Finances are tough on us, so finding the money for a date after bills, kids, and everything in between is though.
