I've been hanging out with a super cool person since about March. We've seen each other 1-2x a month, hooked up at most of those times, we watched movies, gushed about partners, talked about life the universe and everything, constantly sharing memes and reels, we even went out drinking with my wife a few times and they were building a friendship.

Anyway, i got a text about a week ago saying they were moving back to their home state for a job starting January 1st. I get it, no harm no foul, we're all on a journey after all. I asked when they wanted to hang out one last time and got crickets. Next thing i know they post on social media about being back home.

I just... I thought we were friends, but I would never have discarded a friend this way. It hurts. Makes me feel like I was just a convenient lay or something.

Anyway, that's my sob story of the day.
