Hi! I’m a solo poly/non hierarchical non monogamy person. I typically date ppl who are doing a similar thing to me. I generally only date ppl who live with partners in very specific circumstances.
I’m noticing a trend where guys do not put that they are partnered, married, or have kids in their online dating profiles, and don’t mention it in texting conversations either. In the past few weeks I’ve gotten to phone call stage with one guy and meeting stage with another before they ever mentioned they are married, living with a partner, and have multiple kids!!! That’s pretty important info for me, so, I guess I should just learn my lesson and ask. I just assume that ppl would share those kinds of things right off the bat, but obviously I’m wrong lol.
It does feel kind of disingenuous to leave out those huge parts of your life.
Have you noticed this? Do you do this? What do you think about it? I’m curious to hear other ppls perspectives.
