Getting over your nerves

How did you deal with your nerves and fears of dating or seeing someone other than your primary partner? We’ve been together 6 years and have recently agreed to open our relationship at my suggestion, but honestly, I’m scared. Not of hurt feelings but of just meeting someone new again. I really did not think I would be so apprehensive and worried about it but here I am on 2 websites and nervous about putting myself out there.
How did you deal with that? Any tips or tricks to overcome my anxiety?
