Have you heard? Saturday, July 15 marks the inaugural Day of Visibility for Non-monogamy – a movement-wide day of action to advance visibility and acceptance of polyamory and non-monogamy in all its varieties! By celebrating our communities and sharing our values, we can reshape the narrative around family and relationship diversity in order to challenge the stigma, foster understanding, and create a more inclusive world!
The Day of Visibility is being recognized by groups from across the non-monogamy movement including the Multiamory Podcast, Normalizing Non-monogamy Podcast, National Coalition for Sexual Freedom, Chosen Family Law Center, Woodhull Freedom Foundation, Polyamory Foundation, and many, many more!
We'd love for you to take part – here's how
☞ ATTEND AN EVENT! There are in-person community events happening from London to Lisbon to Louisville to Los Angeles. Check out the Day of Visibility Events Calendar, powered by Bloom Community..
☞ MAKE SOME NOISE! Let's raise our voices in order foster greater understanding and acceptance of our communities, relationships, and identities. Check out the Communications toolkit for graphics, sample posts, and talking points.
☞ OPEN UP! If you're in a position to do so, opening up about your non-monogamous identity is the best ways to help advance visibility and acceptance. We're also offering two free Support Circles to come together before and after the Day of Visibility. Check out tips for opening up and RSVP for your spot in the Support Circles.
The Day of Visibility for Non-monogamy is a movement-wide event coordinated by OPEN (Organization for Polyamory and Ethical Non-monogamy). Learn more at www.dayofvisibility.com or www.open-love.org!
