My wife (62f) and I (61m) decided to open our marriage a few months ago after 22 years together. (Yes we are late to the game). We both were upset that we seemed to be growing apart because of a dead bedroom. Otherwise we had an excellent relationship, but we were worried about resentment that was starting to build might lead to separation.

Fast forward. I have had some flirting and dating adventures. She isn’t interested in playing outside other than a fantasy or two.

To both our surprise, we have been growing happier and closer, and our bedroom, while certainly not cured, has shown signs of revival. Just curious if others have this kind of experience. Neither of us were ever the type to think that a wife telling a husband to go fuck other ladies would turn us both on to each other.
