My wife and I are discussing the possibilities of having a threesome with another woman. As a man, you'd think this would excite the hell of me, but all I feel is anxiety.

My wife and I have been together for 16 years and monogamous for the entirety of that time. While we fantasize and discuss threesomes, the idea of leaving monogamy completely behind, is an idea that leaves me very uncomfortable.

Now here lies my dilemma, this all still sounds incredibly hot. I want to do this, I want to experience and explore this with my wife. I also want to give her the same pleasures and opportunities she's wanting for me, I'm just scared that we're starting down a path that will alter our marital dynamics.

My other issue, while we've been together for 16 years, my wife was my first. She's had prior partners before me but I've only been with her. I'm sure this adds to my anxiety but also, I'm kinda proud of this and a bit sad I won't be able to say the same afterwards.

So I guess what I'm asking here is, is this level of anxiety normal? Am I overreacting or over thinking things? What are the odds of a few or even a singular encounter, will alter or marital dynamics?
