New job complicating my feelings
Post Body

I’ve (21M) been with my partner (21M) for almost 2.5 years and we’ve been open for about a year and a half. We had a really rocky start to nonmonogamy but we found our groove and I’ve been feeling REALLY good about being open for the past 8 months or so.

About a month and a half ago I started a new job working nights Saturdays-Wednesdays. I LOVE the work I do, it’s fulfilling and engaging and impactful. And so far I’ve had a pretty good experience with working overnight, with the exception of some over exhaustion. I’m starting to get the hang of my sleep schedule now though.

Recently I’ve noticed I’ve started to harbour a lot of jealousy about my partner’s schedule and his ability to spend time with our mutual FWB (22M) now that we’ve moved closer to his area. My boyfriend is currently unemployed which means he has basically no restrictions on when he can make plans. I leave for work ~11pm, and my partner has a lot of sleepovers with the FWB, and I’m feeling jealous and some borderline resentment that I work full-time and get excluded socially, while he doesn’t work at all and gets to spend basically all his free time with our FWB.

I don’t want to be having these feelings about my partner and/or our FWB, but I’ve been having a hard time regulating my emotions about it.
