Someone I’m dating informed me of upcoming date with someone else

Not cool, right? Or am I being sensitive? I mean yeah I’ll do what I need to do and I think it’s reasonable to have a bit of a softer delivery or even check in to see if I’m available to process that? Or is this just like a “people can do whatever they want” situation? How do y’all do the delivery of “hey btw I have a date set up”
