Wife (31F) and I (37M) together 14 year have been discussing ENM for a few years now and have finally gotten to a place where we both agree philosophically that we are ready to open our marriage. That said we were married extremely youung and have no real practical experience with STI testing.

I’m asking for other to share practical advice on issues surrounding STI testing. Do you go to your primary care doc, community health, online service for your testing? what are your experiences with these? Also, safer sex practices aside, should we be tested before initiating a new sexual relationship, or going to a swingers club for the first time? Do other ENM folks expect us to have a copy of our most recent testing? Would it be normal or weird to ask potential partners about their most recent testing? Any practical advice from folks with more street smarts than us would be appreciated! ( also do to me being in military and having minimal medical privacy I’m interesting in people’s experiences with more discreet testing options than seeing your primary doc)
