Thoughts on partner availability for booty calls

What are your thoughts about a partner being available for someone who isn’t necessarily in a defined relationship, but might request them for unscheduled sex? I guess it would be the equivalent of a buddy who calls you for a hike or footy game out the blue, provided you have already made your partner aware of this person.
