So I, ended up in a weird situation since I am in a non monogamous long distance relationship, due me having to move to another country to pursue my Ph.D and my gf not getting her visa approved. I am not a social media person but I'm struggling to meet people, even just for friendship in my new city, so I decided to try a dating app called Boo. The app is kind of working for me when getting male friends, but when it comes to women is more difficult. The moment I disclose my relationship status they all seem to loose interest, even when I made clear that I'm mainly looking for friends to hang up. Since I'm new in the dating app thing, I did not put my relationship status in my Bio, and now understand it may have something to do with the problem, but now I am afraid that if I update it, no girl will be interested in talking to me, even for friendship.

Have you encountered this problem? What do you guys suggest is the best way to deal with it?
