"You don't know what you don't know." It's carved on my mind.
Dating in general is hard. Dating in the non-monogamous world is a beast.
I've had a handful of success matches from apps. Success meaning a coffee date where I don't lose my kidneys.
My most recent match from Feeld "looks" like a real profile. Several pics, same person, different settings that sort of make sense. But I've had so many bad experiences from pic collectors and scammers...
The paranoid part: She, assuming it's a real woman, has a very brief bio. Lives 10 miles away. And she starts the convo talking naughty: "I'm a size queen."
Great, another dude collecting pics. Or a Soviet scam. (Nothing against you, but not my type.)
She gave me her phone and kik username. And I'm so indecisive. I cannot tell for sure this is real or fake. I need to call her or do a video call first.
Everyone's hiding something. I'm sure she's no exception. But what is it?
Is she married? Does the husband know?
Is she older? I don't care.
Is this for money? I'm so tired of people soliciting on dating apps...
My guess is as good as yours. I'm just a humble writer lost here and in dating apps, instead of producing a useful craft.
Either way, be wary, friends. We are all connected somehow. Stay safe. Keep your guard up.
I'll update you once I know more.
