Newbie question: anklets and black rings

My wife and I [56mf] are new to the hotwife/vixen/bull/stag LS. We've done some reading and supposedly anklet symbolizes a hotwife and a black ring on the right hand indicates a guy who's available to swing. We each got our respective gear in the French Quarter on Sunday. Will anyone notice?
