In modded games, both where the mod needs to restart the game entirely in order to work well for new runs, and if the game doesn't need to restart between runs, the stats and records you gain from the previous game don't take effect.
EG: I've made it to level 3 with 150 hp before, and when I die it says that my record is 100, and I've just earned a new record. Starting a new run requires a restart of the game entirely, as in the executable is killed, and re-run in a flagged state to automatically jump right into a run, rather than the main menu. If I die again, for instance on level 1, with 125 hp, it still says my record is 100, and that I've gained a new record.
This seems to apply to all stats. Depth, Gold, Health, etc. The amount of times I've died or won seem to persist, and my dictionary. The list of all the spells, perks, etc does seem be updated and recorded.
Is this an intentional effect of modded runs, or something running amok?
