I’ve always struggled with having friends, not sure why but I have always been the odd one out. Whether in groups or with specific people I often became the fallback plan when no one else was available, meaning I was rarely invited to things unless it was an obvious pity invite etc. I just lost my last friend, after 12 years she ghosted without another word. Found out on Instagram she was getting married, didn’t even know she was seeing someone.
Outside work I have basically no human contact other than my girlfriend and my parents. I don’t know what to do anymore but I know making friends gets harder as you age. Am I just going to be alone forever?
