Just sharing my experience.
Got the Botox in November of 21 at BVI. After about a week of micro-burps, I was off to burp-heaven, and it was truly life-changing.
- I could go out to bars and not be the guy who always leaves 2hrs before everyone else.
- I could eat large meals and not feel like death afterwards.
- I could go to bed at night without looking like I was 3 months pregnant and sounding like a broken French horn.
The list of life improvements goes on and on. I can't suggest the procedure enough if you have the means to get it done.
However, here I am at month 8, and life is markedly less glorious in the excess-air department. At around month 6 the Botox began to wear off as expected, and burping started to become a chore. The gurgles are back with a vengeance, and the only way I can seem to get major relief is by doing all sort of neck contortions/jaw movements/larynx massages/goat sacrificing(/s) to force a burp.
I've been keeping up with my shaker exercises, posture changes, etc., and some days they seem to help, while somedays they seem futile.
The thing I find most interesting is that I definitely seem to get the best burps out whenever I'm distracted or stress-free. Unfortunately that can be difficult when you feel bloated, nauseated, all-around-awful, and you know that happiness is only a burp away. But c'est la vie and all that.
Definitely going to be headed back for round two of the Botox. Might try Spiegel since he's more within driving distance.
Feel free to throw questions at me.
EDIT: grammar
