Figured I'd throw in my experience of getting the botox procedure by Dr. Bastian.
Yesterday was the recon appointment with endoscope. Was pretty nervous about it, but as other people have said, it's really not all too bad. Just some moderate discomfort.
During the initial appointment Dr. Bastian was very accommodating to all my questions and was incredibly reassuring.
Today was the surgery and we got there around 10:00 CST. Waited around until 10:30ish when a nurse took me back to confirm medical history. After that it was off to some other nurses to give me a change of clothes(typical hospital gown), some pepcid, and get me hooked up to an IV.
Dr Bastian and the anaesthesiologist took turns coming in to explain the procedure and see if I had any questions.
Lastly it was off to the surgery table where I spent about maybe 2-3 minutes laying down before the good stuff kicked in and I was out like a light.
Woke up 20ish min later with a small coughing fit and a sore throat. Once I was deemed ready to rock, they gave me some high strength Tylenol, apple sauce, and sent me on my way. Was out of the surgery center by 13:00.
Currently relaxing with quite a sore throat and some post-anaesthesia "blahh-ness", but other than that I'm feeling fine.
Will make subsequent posts on notable progress if desired.
All in all a very positive experience so far.
