I've noticed a trend while watching New Japan lately and I'm wondering if you guys can help me come up with other examples.
A lot of wrestlers in New Japan use sort of a varied version of their finisher to set up the actual finisher itself. Here is my list:
Tanahashi: Standing High Fly Flow into HFF Goto: Reverse GTR into GTR Devitt: Reverse Bloody Sunday into Bloody Sunday Kenny: Croyt's Wrath instead of One Winged Angel (kind of) Also, last night, Okada did sort of a weird cool ripcord spinning lariat, sort of a reverse Rainmaker, into the Rainmaker.
Are there other examples of this I'm missing? What do you guys think about this as a trend?
