Towing guide hardware alternatives
Post Body

The towing guide for the NV recommends using a class IV weight-distribution hitch system if towing more than 5000 lbs.

Problem is those systems appear to be complicated enough that if you also want sway stabilization for your trailer, you should buy a system that includes both weight-distribution and sway stabilization.

The product mentioned for weight distribution in the manual does not include sway stabilization and is available only by contacting my dealership. I donā€™t know about your dealership but mine tends to overcharge to the tune of 2-3x for accessories they provide and chalk it up to ā€œconvenienceā€.

Does anyone in this community know of alternative hardware that is compatible with the NV, is still class IV and provides both sway stabilization and weight-distribution at the same time? I can find such hardware but I canā€™t tell if itā€™s compatible specifically with the NV. Do all class IV automatically fit? What do yā€™all use?
