Long story short: Went into the Nissan dealership for a check on my truck since I have been using it what it was intended for. Wanted to make sure everything was torqued and no fluids are showing signs of excessive wear, etc.
Truck returned with a TCM update for the PAWL recall on newer modeled frontiers. Turns out it f*cked my 4x4 mode when driving (loud humming coming from the front diff) and the 4x4 wonβt disengage without an external force jostling it off.
Check your 4x4 mode when you get the software update. Mine had this issue; but I think I may be a rare case since the techs were surprised at my issue.
