Hey all, I ordered a Wii on eBay to enjoy some old GameCube games and I cannot get the Wiimote to sync to the console no matter what I do. I tried every troubleshooting thing I found online and made sure the sensor bar works via looking at the lights with a camera. Tried it on top of the TV and at the bottom of the TV. I have unplugged the console and plugged it back in, held the sync button for 20 seconds, and tried every combination of pressing the sync button on the wiimote and console. All the wiimote does is blink 4 blue lights at me no matter what I do.

Am I wasting my time troubleshooting? I'll get a new wiimote if this one's broken but holy god this is driving me nuts. Leave it to a 15 year old console to not allow backwards compatible controllers only on the main menu for some ungodly reason =/.
