I am so excited for the upcoming Metroid Dread, and to both celebrate and prepare for it, I am going to play through the four 2D Metroid games preceding it at a pace of one game a month! This is an open invitation for anyone who wants to join, because I have found that it's a lot more fun to play through games with someone (even if it's asynchronous) than on your own.

Play will be super casual and at your own pace. I'm thinking of creating some sort of perhaps Discord group chat (or whatever service people have) to talk about the games with each other, share best moments, and hype each other up about Dread.

Originals or remakes are allowed. (For reference, I've only played the original NES Metroid game and halfway through the GB version of Samus Returns but this time I plan on playing the 3DS version of Metroid 2.)
