When we first saw Super Mario Party at E3 2018 I automatically assumed it would go back to its roots of being a traditional MP and in some aspects it did that. Like for example getting rid of the car mechanic that has been integrated into the last few MP.
There have also been some new changes such as the character specific dice blocks, the partner play mode, altering the VS mode spots in the board to make them vibration based games. Finally, the board designs seem different, and smaller.
Obviously with each Mario party there are new mechanics added and original ones that are altered. So this brings up my question, do the changes brought forth with Super Mario Party make it an experimental one or is it at its core still a traditional one.
