Mario Sunshine seems to be the blacksheep out of the 3D Marios as it doesn't get a good rep, I am just curious why that is the case. Is it because of FLUDD and how it hindered the platforming of Mario?
I personally believe Mario Sunshine was a good successor to 64, the levels had a lot of personality and good challenges. It was also nice to have a different tone to the normal mario trope, (even though the story stopped being developed after pinna park).
So I am just curious why Sunshine rep is not as favourable as the other titles.
