Wow. Just wow.
I bought this game, a Wii and an HDMI converter because I heard it was good. $200 later, I anxiously thought āis this worth it?ā.
I tediously set up my Wii on my 2023 TV and spent hours adjusting the picture, sound and color to make the resolution damn near flawless.
That wasnāt the only thing that was flawless.
No justice is needed to detail the gameplay as you all know. But, do know that I beat the game in a week, with my longest constant playtime being 18 hours (thanks to working remote).
- Hours. Straight.
Iāve played SMB (1, 2, 3), Mario 64, Sunshine, New SMB, 3D World, Super Mario World, Odyssey and Galaxy 1. Before this, my favorite was a toss up between Galaxy 1, Odyssey and 3D World. Itās impossible to chose the best.
Or at least it was impossible.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 supersedes the rest. And I havenāt even completed it yet.
The inspiration for this post is that I finally collected 240 stars and thereās still more that awaits. Iām not even done yet; shockingly taken back and in awe with how much I adore this game.. and thereās still more to discover. I feel like Iāve went to the moon and back (actually, several galaxies) and have a massive sense of accomplishment, yet thereās still more challenges lurking.. probably the toughest and best ones yet.
Iām not much of a gamer, but I totally experienced the magic and am so satisfied. After 70 hours, I finally made it to Grandmaster and am starting The Ultimate Test.
So, thank you, Nintendo. To anyone reading this: do yourself a favor and play this game.
Yah-hoo!
