I mixed a pint on the lite ice cream option. The outer edge where the blades don’t touch remained frozen but the inner area turned out well. I respun it but the texture wasn’t as good and there were still areas on the outer edge that were frozen. Should I take it out of the freezer and wait 5 or 10 minutes before I spin it? Also, I filled the pint over the max line about an inch. Not sure if that makes any difference.
Update:
I did not fill past the max line this time. I warmed up the outer edge with my hands after taking the pint out of the freezer. I left it out for maybe 16 minutes. It was too soft for my liking. I did not touch the next pint. I just left it on the counter for 10 minutes before spinning it and the consistency turned out great.
