Evidence that this is a "farewell tour"?

I've seen several posts now speculating this is a farewell tour. Is there actually any evidence of this? Or are people just speculating because Trent is doing some unorthodox things this go round and doing a lot of fanservice?
It would just seem severely odd to me for him to end his touring career without saying something - not to mention the last time he tried it, he wound up coming back because he missed the stage too much.
Isn't it possible Trent is just throwing curveballs with this tour for the sake of throwing curveballs?
